Will Riley Presents Oral Argument Before Indiana Court of Appeals

Riley William & Piatt’s Managing Principal Member Will Riley presented oral argument before a panel of Indiana Court of Appeals judges on July 11, asking the court to reverse the trial judge’s dismissal of a class action filed on behalf of Indiana property owners against Duke Energy. The trial court’s dismissal was based on the trial court’s determination that the statute of limitations barred the property owners’ complaint.

During his argument, Mr. Riley contended that the statute of limitations was tolled because the property owners had no knowledge of the highly technical facts giving rise to their claims until they decided to expand their existing structures.
